About Family Tree Quest

My name is Pauline Leverett and I run a small (very small!) business designing and maintaining websites. After the deaths of my parents I became very interested in tracing my roots and spent many, many hours in detailed research; eventually tracing my mother’s side of the family back to the 1600’s with probable links to a well-documented family in Essex back as far as 1548 and beyond. I say ‘probable links’ because if I’m not 99% sure then I don’t include it! Using on-line resources it would be very easy to just make assumptions but I’m a person who likes certainty wherever possible. My husband’s family were next to come under scrutiny and they were slightly easier since they had not moved around as much as my own so his tree ranges from 1550 to 2017. I then decided to open up my research to other families and hence you are reading what I have to say on this website today. I am not yet a member of any of the genealogy associations mentioned so often in other researchers’ websites and neither do I charge as much as they do. I am honest and hardworking and as long as I can cover my costs and charge a fair amount for my time then I am happy and I want my customers to feel happy too. The last thing I would want is for people to feel they have been ‘ripped-off’! So, if you would like to trace your roots, I would be happy to help either on an hourly charge basis or as a package.
